Living in Amsterdam I suffer the same problems. I can't buy any E-books from the UK store and many of the books I want don't exist in the US/German or French Amazon stores.

It seems crazy that I can buy the physical book from Amazon and have it on my doorstep the morning after, but I'm not allowed the E-version.

Still I doubt it'll be solved any day soon. I still can't use UK Itunes without resorting to Itunes Gift Cards and so I don't see the Publishing Industry move any quicker

Thanks Izzy for the comment. Yeah it is a real shame about the availability of kindle books here. Hopefully the policy will change soon.

Interesting post. I have the Kindle app on my iPad as well and I have been looking at the Kindle in shops here in Ireland. I'd really like to buy one but every time I check for books I want to buy, it seems they are not available. This week I've been looking the Anti-Aging Beauty Bible which was published recently and also for Memento Mori by Muriel Spark. I also tried to purchase some yoga books and they weren't available either. It is frustrating and compounded by the lack of content in the iBooks store for Irish users too. Let's hope they get it sorted soon. Surely publishers should be pleased to have potential purchasers begging to buy from them!!!
